About
Background
I founded my consulting firm in 2026 after serving for 20 years as Executive Director of Salem Sound Coastwatch and the Lower North Shore Regional Coordinator for the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Partnership. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with local municipalities on land and water environmental issues and have become a sought-after speaker.
My areas of specialization include climate resiliency and adaptation, invasive plant control, nature-based solutions, and community-centered environmental planning. I am trained in climate risk communication that engages stakeholders in finding solutions. I am a certified Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Provider and a founding member with the Salem Preservation Partners who organize the annual Preservation in a Changing Climate Conference.
I hold a BA from Wellesley College, an MEd from Lesley University, and an MS in Environmental Science from Antioch University New England. My career began in education, followed by work as a teacher, artist, and business owner before moving to the North Shore and joining Salem Sound Coastwatch—where I transformed the organization from a struggling nonprofit into a financially strong organization with an eight-person team.
